Potentilla anserina, known as silverweed or silver cinquefoil, is a perennial flowering plant in the rose family, Rosaceae.
It makes a beautiful ground cover, reflecting streams of light in the darkest corners of the garden.

The leaves are distinctly silvery, silky and lacy.
The flowers are little and yellow.
The French call it richette for this reason – she is rich in both silver and gold.

The Tales:

The plant was put in shoes to absorb sweat.
