The Menthe Chartreuse is a spicy mint, known for its use in the production of liqueurs and herbal teas.
The leaves are particularly shiny and robust, slightly rounded at the edges which give the Chartreuse mint a bit of an elegant edge on her sisters.
The flowers are a bright lilac and flower towards the end of summer.
This mint is very hardy and tough but it does require a good watering once a week – as mints do.
Harvest from March to October for cocktails and teas and more cocktails and more tea.
Mix and match with the other varieties to get a different variety of minty flavors!
