Mentha x gracilis ‘Variegata’ is a vigorous, rhizomatous mint that becomes drought-tolerant once it is established.

The foliage is particularly spectacular on this variety as it is striped and flecked golden-yellow.
Whorled spikes of pale purple flowers bloom in summer.

Nota bene: The mints generally prefer a shady area  – under a tree, by the balcony so that their soil can stay moist (this will also prolong the time between waterings)
Nota extra bene: In the winter, they will die back but not to worry, a mint will always come back. Always.

The Tales
