Heuchera ‘Prince’  is known for its wonderfully ruffled dark purple/black foliage with red undertones.

‘Prince’ has a good compact habit, which makes it excellent for border, gardenboxes or as a potted plant.

The particularity of this variety is that he also loves the sun.

As always, ‘Prince’ will thrive in places where others dare not go.

In the spring and summer, tall purple elegant stems hold up spires of large creamy lemon flowers – these flowers are adored by bees.

TIPS: Mulching is a good idea to protect the plant’s roots in the winter months.
INTERIOR TIPS: As they are evergreen and drought tolerant, these also look magnificent inside as a table piece or a dramatic addition to a low light room.

The Tale

What is curious about this genus is that it is native to the Russian Far East, parts of Canada, Mexico, and the United States, and is native to the State of North Carolina – quite the spread!

The common name, Coral Bells, references the plant’s bell-shaped flowers. They are so delicate and beautiful, you sort of hold your breath when you walk by them.

The other common name, Alumroot, references the medicinal use of some of the species as an astringent to stop bleeding.
