Erigeron kavinskianus is a daisy-like flowering plant that is often used in landscaping to create carpets of flowers.
As it has a rhizomatous root system, the plant is able to grow vigorously and very quickly.
If the soil is particularly rocky and poor and the sun is particularly harsh, then she will flourish.
Keep an eye on her as she can escape from her designated area!

The Tales:

It was named after a Hungarian botanist and explorer with the truly wonderful name of Baron Wilhelm Friedrich Karwinski von Karvin (von Karvin Karvinski).

He found his sample plant in Oaxaca, Mexico.

It arrived in the UK some time during the nineteenth century, and promptly ‘escaped’
