The Tales:
In the Middle Ages in Europe it was a common food crop and medicinal plant.
It was first brought to North America during the early stages of European settlement as an ornamental garden plant, and was commonly used as groundcover.
The leaves have a unique tangy flavour that is not for everyone – somewhere between celery and citrus and parsley I’d say. Tastiest before the plant begins its flowering period.
