A collection of 20 plants for a dry and sunny garden in a pink-lilac-grey color palette.

These perennials are hardy and drought tolerant, thriving in poor, well-drained soils under the Mediterranean sun.

The color palette here is pink-lilac-grey, with various fragrant notes coming from the Agastache, the Nepeta and the Santolina.

👨‍🌾GARDENING TIPS👨‍🌾: Collection de Vivaces

  1. Start by planting grasses in large drifts, scattering them randomly throughout the bed.
  2. Within this green framework, mix in perennials with varied structures:
    1. the tall spikes of Agastache + Verbena in the background
    2. the flat umbels of yarrow ( Achillea) and large flowers of the coneflowers (Echinacea) in the middle
    3. the airy spires of catmint (Nepeta – we have a few varieties to choose from!) combined with the rounded mounds of Santolina along the edges.
    4. Finally, sprinkle in a few allium bulbs or self-seeding plants (an kind of annual – a poppy, a California poppy, the Centaurea annua, the sunny side up flowers), and your 2m2 will suddenly feel wild and tamed all at the same time.

This arrangement of perennials also prioritizes the health and happiness of pollinators – bees and butterflies – so by bringing these plants to your garden, you will be participating in the rewilding of your area!
